Evalena can be described in three words, and those would be: Poised, blunt, and sincere. Before her change, those were almost the exact opposite. She had been, quiet, self conscious, and quite serene. But I suppose changing species might do that to one.
She can be blunt to the point of rudeness, and throughout her over a century of life, she has been thought rude and mean because of this. However, the truth is, when Eva wants to say something, she rarely things of whether or not it might offend someone. The positive side to this? You can always be sure that Eva is telling you her honest opinion, her truth, even if it wasn't what you wanted to hear.
Despite her somewhat 'roughness', Eva has a kind heart. When she was human, she had been the type of girl to help when something was wrong. She hasn't lost that trait. You may have to dig deep, but when you get past the stinging remarks and somewhat rude comments, you will, somewhere, find a heart that's waiting to be reached. Eva never lacked anything as a human, but as a vampire, she is quite lonely, and often wishes that her transformation had never happened. When she isn't remorseful, then you know that she's considering the good parts of this life.
Appearance;

Eva was pretty even as a child, but oh, if her parents could see her now... Her once dull black hair is now straighter and shinier than ever. Even darker, I suppose, with a slight blue tinge. It reaches to just past her shoulders, and is almost always tied in a thick braid.
Evalena stands at a petite five foot and one and a half inches. She has the pale, pale skin of a vampire, which contrasts deeply with the inky black of her hair. Her eyes range from amber to topaz to black onyx, depending on her thirst. If you were to ask Eva the one thing she liked the most about her new appearance, she would tell you, no doubt, her eyes. Why, you may wonder? It's because the only people with eyes like those, are her fellow 'vegetarian' vampires.
Even at her short height, Eva never ceases to impress, especially to humans, to whom dark hair means dark skin. The sharp contrast in her skin, and hair, can be surprising, but even without a second glance, you can tell this girl is beautiful. In the sun her skin sparkles, enough to make the diamond green with envy.

History;
(Your characters history, at least four paragraphs)
Evalena was born in the late eighteen hundreds to wealthy parents. As a child, her upbringing had been left to the nurse, Anabel. Anabel had been like a mother to Eva. She was more consistent then her birth mother, who was more then often out at a social event, more then happy to forget about Eva. When Eva was seventeen, her father urged her to find a 'fellow and settle down'. And Eva meekly complied to his wishes. A young man, a stranger in town soon fell in love with the fair Eva. And so, they were to wed. The day after the wedding, the set off on there wedding tour.
On the wedding tour, or honeymoon as we now call them, something horrible happened. Eva and her husband were abducted by a strange, inhumanly beautiful female with glowing red eyes. She carried them, for she was immensely strong, into a secluded woodland. She proceeded to kill James, Eva's husband. Eva begged, and pleaded desperately that she not kill him, to kill her instead, and at end, when the strange woman began to drain James of his blood, to kill her so that she need not witness. The woman merely raised her head and gave Eva an impish grin, and returned to her work. When she finished, she once again turned to Eva, and merely sunk her teeth in Eva's fair, white neck. The sound of huntsmen approaching angered the strange woman, whom we shall simply Vampire. Vampire fled, and then the fire began. It stung, and it burned, and screams tore out of Eva's body. The pain was unforgettable, every inch of her burned as if her insides were white hot coal.
When the hunters heard her screams, they didn't think it was a human in agony, her screams had no coherency and were more animal like by the minute. They eager turned another direction to avoid whatever monster was creating that chilling sound. Soon the rain began. The ice cool drops felt nice on her skin, but still the fire was there. Soon, she learned it was no use to scream. Nothing helped. She lay there for three days and nights. No animal dared come near the writhing, suffering human. And then, the pain stopped as abruptly as it began. Eva found she was able to walk. In fact, she could run. She ran faster then she ever thought possible, her thirst handicapping her. She ate everything she thought might quench the ever present thirst. Only one thing satisfied her. The taste of human blood.
After many years, she found a coven of beautiful people. The same type of granite skinned, pale faced creature she was. But for some reason, their eyes were amber. She approached them warily, but was soon introduced into the life of a vegetarian vampire. Though animal blood wasn't as sweet, it quenched her thirst, and she thrust herself wholeheartedly into the life. And that's where we find Eva today: living with the Denali Coven.

It was dark. Oh so dark. She couldn't see anything. She couldn't feel anything. Am I dead? Was her last conscious thought, as she drifted off. The morphine didn't help, she thought drowsily, when she reawakened. "What do you remember?" A kind, motherly voice asked, as she was given some water to drink.
"I remember that I fell... And then someone said something about morphine. And now, here I am."
"Are you sure you don't remember what happened, Rose, love?"
"No, I don't. Why do you keep asking that? Where is William? Why am I here?"
"Hunny, when William heard, he just couldn't handle it. He's in a better place."
"What do you mean?" Rose shrieked, attempting to sit up. The wires that were connected to various parts of her body resisted her movement. "What do you mean, dammit? My William is stronger than that. He wouldn't do that." A single tear ran down her cheek and a nurse entered, shooing my visitor.
I could hear them in the hall. What do you think you are doing? The nurse scolded, or at least, that's what Rose heard. The girl just suffered a near death injury and the second you wake up, you tell her that her fiancée committed suicide? Are you insane, woman? All the words floated together in one mixed up jumble. William. Dead. Her head was like a broken record player, repeating and repeating. William. Dead. And then another voice entered the track. He was too good for you Rose. And another. I'll never leave you, Rose. Finally she cracked. "You liar, you goddamn liar. You said you would never leave. You goddamn liar." She shrieked, her scream turning into a muffled sob.
"Are you ready for more morphine?" The nurse asked, hearing her distress.
"No. I deserve this pain. I deserve it,goddammitt! I made him leave. This is my fault."
And then everything was black, once again. A single voice entered her head. "I love you."
"No you don't. You wouldn't have left." She mumbled, before unconsciousness took over her mind once again.
